Lynex CAPTCHA Assistant is a Chrome extension that helps users recognize image-based CAPTCHAs on supported university student portals.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension processes and how that information is handled.

2. Information We Collect

The extension does not collect or store:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Passwords
• Authentication credentials
• Payment information
• Location information
• Browsing history
• Personal communications
• Analytics or tracking data

3. CAPTCHA Processing

The extension accesses CAPTCHA images displayed on supported university login pages.

CAPTCHA images are processed locally in the user's browser to recognize the characters. The CAPTCHA image and recognized text are not sent to a remote server operated by Lynex.

The recognized CAPTCHA text is entered into the corresponding CAPTCHA field on the supported portal.

4. OCR Processing

Lynex CAPTCHA Assistant uses Tesseract OCR packaged with the extension to recognize characters in supported image-based CAPTCHAs.

OCR processing occurs locally within the browser. Lynex does not receive or store the CAPTCHA images processed by the extension.

5. Website Access

The extension requests access only to supported university student portal websites where its CAPTCHA recognition functionality is used.

The current supported portals are:

• KL University ERP
• SRM University AP Student Portal
• Lovely Professional University Student Portal

This access allows the extension to identify CAPTCHA elements, process CAPTCHA images, and enter recognized CAPTCHA text into the appropriate field.

6. Data Storage

Lynex CAPTCHA Assistant does not store CAPTCHA images, recognized CAPTCHA text, usernames, passwords, or authentication credentials on external servers.

If the extension stores configuration or preference information using Chrome's storage APIs, that information is used only to provide the extension's functionality.

7. Data Sharing

Lynex CAPTCHA Assistant does not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

8. Remote Servers

CAPTCHA recognition does not require a Lynex server. The OCR functionality included in the extension runs locally in the browser.

9. Security

The extension is designed to process CAPTCHA information locally and minimize the amount of information handled outside the user's browser.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
